I was wondering if anybody had any info. on my g.g. grandfather John Wilson? He was married to Sarah a.k.a. (Candeskhawin) and they had three daughters, Julia, Ellen and Esther. I am curious to know who his parents were? Or his wife Sarahs parents? John was born in about 1835 and lived until 1915.

i don't have much.the 1880 US Census, Moody, Dakota Terr. lists a John Wilson Age40, occupation farmer, he and parents born Minnesota.
His wife-Sarah Wilson age 43, she and her parents born Minn.
A child is listed but I can't make out the name, but the age is 16 yrs. , born in Minn.

the 1870 US Census for Elk Point, Brookings, Dakota lists:
John Wilson Age 41 Farmer, born Minnesota
Wife Sarah Wilson Age 42 born Minn.
Julia Wilson Dau. Age 15 born Minn.

I don't know if they are the same John Wilson, but that is what I have in my card files.

i found the 1900 US Census for Spring Grove, Roberts,SD.
It lists John Wilson age 62, born Feb. 1838 born Minn. parents born Minn
wife Sarah born Oct. 1839 age60. she had 9 children, only 3 living.
sorry I don't have more.
